Sous Chef Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef in upscale or fine dining restaurants
- Experience with Italian cuisine
- Proven ability to manage food and labor costs
- Demonstrated success working in restaurants with at least $5 million in annual sales volume
- Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- A supportive leader who exemplifies integrity, core company values, and a commitment to the vision and mission
Sous Chef Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create and execute seasonal Italian menus
- Lead, mentor, and inspire kitchen staff to maintain high culinary standards
- Monitor and manage daily food preparation and quality assurance
- Control inventory and ensure cost-effective ordering and stock management
- Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines within the kitchen
- Foster a positive, motivated work environment aligned with company values
