Controller – Bay Village, Avon area, OH

Controller Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing and/or distribution
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting and cost accounting
- Experience supervising accounting staff
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel
- Familiarity with GAAP and compliance responsibilities
- CPA or CMA is a plus but not required
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus

Controller Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting functions, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and account reconciliations
- Supervise A/R and A/P staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
- Coordinate annual review/audit and support external tax preparation
- Support operations with inventory accounting, costing, and margin analysis
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Champion ERP system usage and improvements
