DIRECTOR OF HOSPITALITY
An acclaimed luxury winery in the Pacific Northwest is seeking an exceptional Director of Hospitality to lead and elevate its hospitality and culinary programs. This executive leader will oversee the entire guest experience, ensuring seamless collaboration between front- and back-of-house teams while preserving the highest standards of service, operational excellence, and brand integrity.
The ideal candidate is both a visionary and an operator—capable of inspiring teams, creating memorable experiences, and driving financial performance within a high-touch, luxury environment.
Director of Hospitality Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy and execution of the hospitality experience across all guest touchpoints.
- Coach and develop the General Manager and Executive Chef while fostering strong collaboration between service and culinary teams.
- Own the hospitality P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, labor planning, and revenue optimization.
- Establish and maintain scalable service standards, systems, and operating procedures.
- Build a culture rooted in accountability, education, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with client-facing teams to create exceptional VIP and bespoke guest experiences.
- Utilize guest insights and CRM data to deliver thoughtful, personalized service.
- Represent the winery within the luxury hospitality, culinary, and fine wine communities.
Director of Hospitality Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in luxury hospitality, fine dining, wineries, resorts, or similarly high-touch environments.
- Proven success leading senior operators and aligning culinary and service teams around a shared vision.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and complex P&Ls.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, coach, and retain high-performing teams.
- Experience with hospitality technology, including reservation systems, POS platforms, CRM tools, and advanced Excel.
- Working knowledge of culinary operations, menu costing, and food and wine pairing principles.
- Exceptional emotional intelligence, attention to detail, and expertise managing VIP relationships and service recovery.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and select holidays as needed.
