Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist to take ownership of programming, setup, operation, and process optimization for our 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis milling operations.
This is not a production role running the same parts repeatedly. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys programming complex aerospace components, solving manufacturing challenges, and continuously improving machining processes in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in Mastercam programming and comfortable owning projects from material selection through final inspection.

What You'll Do
- Program, setup, and operate 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC milling machines using Mastercam
- Develop efficient machining strategies, tool paths, fixtures, and workholding solutions
- Optimize cycle times, tooling, setups, and overall manufacturing processes
- Support and leverage automation cells for lights-out manufacturing and production efficiency
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
- Perform in-process inspections and self-verification of finished components
- Maintain compliance with AS9100 quality standards and documentation requirements
- Collaborate with machinists, programmers, inspectors, and leadership to solve technical challenges
- Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the shop
- Assist with lathe operations when needed (preferred but not required)
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of CNC milling experience
- 2+ years of Mastercam programming experience
- Experience programming and setting up 3-axis, 4-axis, and/or 5-axis CNC mills
- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
- Experience developing setups, fixtures, tooling strategies, and machining processes
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teammates
- Excellent communication and accountability
