AP Accountant Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA certification is a plus
- At least 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience with cost accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and accounting practices
- Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software (such as ACPAC, QuickBooks, and Excel)
- Prior experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Fluency in English and Mandarin (Professional Working Proficiency)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality
AP Accountant Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Process, code, and verify invoices ensuring accuracy and timely payment
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain complete and up-to-date records of transactions and outgoing payments
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for review
- Support accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable functions
- Reconcile bank accounts daily and cross-reference system balances
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Track and report on capital expenditures and fixed assets
- Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives
