Litigation Attorney
Our client is seeking a skilled Insurance Defense Attorney to join their litigation team. This role focuses primarily on defending insured clients and carriers in complex litigation matters. The ideal candidate is confident in the courtroom, strong in motion practice, and experienced in managing cases from inception through resolution.
This position offers the opportunity to handle substantive litigation work, develop case strategy, and represent clients in high-exposure matters within a collaborative, professional environment.
Litigation Attorney Responsibilities
- Manage insurance defense matters from initial assignment through trial or resolution.
- Prepare, draft, and argue substantive motions, including dispositive and procedural motions.
- Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
- Represent clients at court hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
- Develop case strategy through thorough legal research, factual analysis, and evaluation of liability and damages.
- Provide clear reporting and strategic recommendations to insurance carriers and clients.
Litigation Attorney Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active and in good standing with the California State Bar.
- Experience in insurance defense litigation preferred.
- Strong motion practice skills with the ability to draft persuasive legal arguments.
- Courtroom experience, including hearings and trial exposure.
- Proficiency in conducting depositions and witness examinations.
- Excellent research, analytical, and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.
- Experience in high-exposure or complex litigation is a plus.
