Insurance Defense Litigation Paralegal Requirements & Qualifications
- 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience preferred
- Insurance defense background strongly preferred
- Experience with premises liability, bodily injury, construction defect, or general liability matters is a plus
- Familiarity with Florida court procedures and e-filing
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong team player with a conscientious work ethic
Insurance Defense Litigation Paralegal Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Support attorneys throughout all phases of complex litigation
- Draft, review, and organize pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
- Maintain litigation calendars and track deadlines
- Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, experts, and opposing counsel
- Review and organize medical records, claim files, and litigation documents
- Perform electronic filing in Florida state courts
- Prepare case summaries, reports, and litigation materials
- Manage document production and case organization
