CNC Maintenance Technician
Billerica, MA | $125,000 – $145,000
Join a high-precision manufacturing operation supporting the aerospace, medical device, semiconductor, and advanced industrial markets. We're seeking an experienced CNC Maintenance Technician to keep critical machining equipment operating at peak performance while playing a key role in reducing downtime and improving reliability across the facility.

Requirements & Qualifications
- 8+ years of CNC machine repair and maintenance experience
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience maintaining and repairing CNC mills and lathes
- Knowledge of servo systems, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial electrical systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Experience troubleshooting complex machine failures independently
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work safely around manufacturing equipment
Must Haves
- Diagnose and repair CNC machining centers, turning centers, and supporting automation equipment
- Troubleshoot CNC controls, motors, sensors, drives, and machine components
- Maintain bar feeders, material handling systems, chip conveyors, and coolant systems
- Coordinate with equipment manufacturers, vendors, and service providers
- Support machine installations, upgrades, retrofits, and reliability initiatives
- Maintain detailed maintenance records, repair logs, and troubleshooting documentation
- Respond to equipment downtime events and implement long-term corrective actions
Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in aerospace, medical device, defense, or other regulated manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls and major CNC platforms
- Experience supporting Kitamura, Brother, Miyano, or similar equipment
- Background working with OEM service teams and equipment vendors
- Technical degree, apprenticeship, military technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Continuous improvement and root-cause analysis experience
