Our client, a growing and highly respected insurance defense litigation law firm, is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support their expanding Seattle office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, team-oriented firm and play a key role in supporting litigation and transactional matters in both state and federal courts.
Legal Assistant Benefits and Compensation:
- Competitive salary: $70,000 – under $80,000 annually, based on experience
- Annual performance-based raises (typically 3–5%)

Legal Assistant Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a law firm setting (legal admin, legal secretary, or similar role)
- Direct experience with state and federal court e-filing required
- Strong familiarity with court rules, formatting standards, and filing procedures
- Experience calendaring deadlines and managing litigation timelines
- Ability to prepare and format pleadings, discovery, and motion shells
- Comfortable supporting early-career attorneys and helping ensure procedural and document formatting accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with document management systems (NetDocuments preferred)
- Familiarity with legal calendaring software and accessing court dockets (Lexis or similar)
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in spelling, grammar, and syntax to proofread legal documents prior to submission
Legal Assistant Preferred Background & Skills:
- Experience working in a small to mid-sized litigation firm
- Exposure to multi-state filings
- Self-sufficient professional who can independently locate court requirements
- Strong organizational skills and ability to balance shifting priorities
- Team-oriented mindset with interest in long-term growth within a collaborative firm
