A growing and highly regarded California plaintiff-side employment law firm is seeking an Employment Law Intake Attorney to join its team. This position plays a critical role in evaluating potential employment law claims, guiding prospective clients through the initial legal process, and helping determine the viability of new matters.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive intake consultations with prospective clients to evaluate potential employment law claims
- Assess matters involving wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, and other employment-related disputes
- Analyze claims under federal and state employment laws, including Title VII, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, and applicable California labor and employment statutes
- Prepare detailed case evaluations and legal summaries for review by senior attorneys
- Educate prospective clients regarding their legal rights, potential claims, and available options
- Collaborate with intake coordinators, paralegals, and legal staff to ensure efficient intake processes and documentation
- Manage a high volume of consultations while providing exceptional client service and professionalism
- Identify matters that may require referral to other practice areas or outside counsel when appropriate
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active California Bar membership in good standing
- 2+ years of employment law, litigation, or related legal experience preferred
- Strong understanding of federal and California employment laws
- Excellent legal research, issue-spotting, and analytical abilities
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and client-friendly manner
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high-volume caseload environment
- Experience with case management software and intake systems is a plus

Compensation
Total compensation range: $130,000 – $180,000 annually, including base salary and performance-based incentives. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
