Upscale Service Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years as a Manager in upscale, full-service steakhouse dining
- Proven record leading restaurants with $7M+ in annual sales
- Demonstrated ability to build, coach, and retain high-performing leadership teams
- Strong financial acumen, including labor modeling, food cost management, forecasting, and inventory controls
- Deep understanding of luxury service standards and guest recovery systems
- Ownership mindset with disciplined operational execution
Upscale Service Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in premium steakhouse, high-end seafood, or luxury independent concepts
- Exposure to Michelin-level or James Beard–caliber service environments
- Strong wine and beverage literacy
- Executive presence with the ability to command respect from staff and guests
Upscale Service Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Some P&L responsibility for a $7M+ luxury operation
- Set and maintain uncompromising service standards
- Lead and develop a high-caliber management and service team
- Drive revenue growth, labor efficiency, and cost controls while preserving an exceptional guest experience
- Oversee wine program execution, premium food presentation, and fine dining pacing standards
- Maintain a visible, hands-on leadership presence on the floor during peak service
