Driver Manager – Ponca City, OK

Driver Manager Benefits & Compensation

- Base schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., typically 45–50 hours per week

Driver Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of management and leadership experience
- Experience in the delivery/trucking industry preferred
- College degree or certification in business management, operations, transportation, or leadership preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Ability to design, implement, and monitor training programs
- Organized, ethical, and driven with strong work ethic
- Intermediate computer skills required
- Solid judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to thrive under pressure and in challenging environments
- Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements preferred
Driver Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience with safety and compliance (DOT, SMS)
- Familiarity with electronic log systems (e.g., Samsara)
- Experience handling employee relations and disciplinary procedures
Driver Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee, support, and motivate all transport drivers across multiple locations
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new drivers
- Schedule drivers and communicate all updates effectively
- Manage driver performance with a strong emphasis on safety, productivity, and service
- Conduct and document performance reviews and corrective actions
- Champion adherence to safety protocols, administrative policies, and DOT regulations
- Investigate and resolve driver issues, customer complaints, and incidents
- Build rapport and trusted relationships with drivers, co-workers, and vendor partners
- Travel between company yards and locations as needed
