Construction Quality Control Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a project leadership or quality control role on comparable construction projects
- At least 3 years of dedicated experience as a Construction Quality Control Manager
- Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 safety requirements, hazard identification, compliance procedures, and sustainability practices
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer/internet applications
Construction Quality Control Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience with Viewpoint/Vista and RMS/QCS software platforms
- Maritime construction experience
- Strong client relationship-building skills
Construction Quality Control Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee, implement, and manage project-specific quality control programs for active construction sites
- Coordinate and document all inspections to ensure alignment with project and contract requirements
- Maintain comprehensive quality documentation and track compliance metrics
- Ensure ongoing adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Serve as a key liaison with clients and internal teams to resolve issues and support positive project outcomes
- Support a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
This role requires regular on-site presence at a military facility and may involve second-shift schedules as project demands dictate.
