As we continue our rapid growth, we are seeking motivated Criminal Defense Attorneys to join our Charleston team.
Position Overview:
This position offers an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys courtroom advocacy, client interaction, and hands-on case management. Attorneys will manage a variety of criminal matters while working alongside an experienced legal team dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for clients.
We are open to attorneys with 1-3 years of experience as well as more experienced practitioners.
Responsibilities
• Represent clients in criminal matters throughout South Carolina
• Conduct client consultations and case evaluations
• Appear in court for hearings, motions, plea negotiations, and trials
• Draft legal pleadings, motions, and correspondence
• Develop case strategies and prepare cases for litigation
• Negotiate with prosecutors and opposing counsel
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure exceptional client service
Qualifications
• Active South Carolina Bar License required
• 403 Compliant for South Carolina
• Criminal defense, prosecution, or relevant litigation experience preferred
• Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills
• Excellent legal research and writing abilities
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment
• Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus, but not required
Compensation:
• Significant compensation review after 90 days with performance-based increases
• Additional compensation consideration for bilingual candidates.
