Quality Technician Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in a quality control role, ideally within manufacturing
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling testing equipment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional team
- Experience reading blueprints or technical drawings and inspecting parts for compliance
- Familiarity with industry certifications such as ASNT or ASQ
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and job-related software
Quality Technician Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Independently inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and machining teams to resolve quality issues quickly and effectively
- Support maintenance and calibration of measurement and non-destructive testing equipment
- Document and report non-conformities, working closely with cross-functional colleagues to address root causes
- Assist in developing and implementing new quality control procedures and participate in ongoing training to grow technical skills
- Promote quality principles and operational excellence throughout the production process
