Quality Control Manager

Quality Control Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years combined experience in commercial construction, including 2+ years as a quality control manager.
- BA/BS in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred; equivalent experience and training considered.
- USACE CQM for Contractors Certificate required.
- Level 1 EM 385-1-1, CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour certifications (training may be provided).
- Strong command of construction materials, processes, and documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with RMS/QCS and Viewpoint preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and proof of automobile liability insurance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical site duties as required.
- Flexibility to work outside standard business hours and travel, including overnight stays and possible relocation.
Quality Control Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Specialty inspection training, licenses, or certifications.
- LEED AP, AP+, or Green Associate (GA) Certificate.
- Familiarity with government contracting and DoD construction standards.
- Experience with document control, scheduling, and project planning.
- Strong interpersonal, team leadership, and mentoring skills.
Quality Control Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Implement and manage project-specific quality control programs, ensuring strict compliance with contract requirements.
- Conduct daily site inspections, document findings, and oversee corrective actions for non-conforming work.
- Coordinate submittals, testing, and inspections; maintain accurate, timely documentation and reports.
- Lead and facilitate required meetings, progress updates, and training on quality systems for project teams.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and client representatives to uphold quality standards and resolve issues.
- Maintain and update as-built drawings, submittal registers, and all required quality control documentation.
- Support safe jobsite practices and compliance through close coordination with safety personnel.
- Mentor and guide project teams on quality processes, promoting continuous improvement and best practices.
