A national Hotel Management Group seeks an experienced Hotel Director of Sales with full-service Hotel experience to lead its Sales efforts for an IHG and Marriott Hotel in the Sarasota, FL area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong tenure with IHG and Marriott at full-service properties. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall success of the Sales and Marketing team to maximize total revenue and ensure sales goals are met and exceeded
- Established client base and cultivated relationships, building business, and providing a stable and positive work environment for the team
- Spend a significant amount of time out of the hotel surveying market and comp set/neighboring hotels, researching new clients/opportunities, and knowing the market and its environment
- Observe local trends in the market
- Conduct sales calls, promote the hotel, and review competition reader boards to develop leads.
- Supporting and Developing the Sales Managers
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of Sales experience
- IHG and/or Marriott Sales experience
- Must currently be working for an IHG or Marriott brand
- Experience in Budget Preparation, Forecasting, Revenue Generation, Analytics, Coaching, and management of Sales Teams
- Any combination of education and training within hotel sales may also be considered or other sales experience
- Past hotel Director of Sales experience is a plus!
- 4-year College Degree or Equivalent experience preferred
- Knowledge of a hotel structure and how all departments interact
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business, meet client needs, and resolve complaints
- Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections
- Detail-oriented.
