Executive Pastry Chef
Sumter, South Carolina | Relocation Assistance Available
We are seeking an experienced Executive Pastry Chef in Sumter, SC to oversee pastry and dessert production for a well established hospitality group while also providing strategic direction for a retail bakery operation, ensuring consistent execution, elevated guest experience, and strong operational performance across all concepts.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead pastry and dessert production across bakery operations
- Establish and maintain standards for quality, consistency, and presentation
- Oversee retail bakery counter service experience and execution standards
- Develop seasonal menus, signature items, and new product offerings
- Train, mentor, and develop pastry and bakery team members
- Manage production planning, inventory, and ingredient sourcing
- Monitor food cost, labor efficiency, and operational performance
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Partner with leadership on growth initiatives and product strategy
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of pastry or scratch baking leadership experience
- Strong background in scratch production within bakery, restaurant, hotel, resort, or multi-concept environments
- Proven ability to lead both production teams and guest-facing operations
- Strong technical pastry and baking expertise
- Experience with production planning, inventory, and cost control
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
