Senior Transportation Project Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- 8+ years of transportation design engineering and project management experience
- Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or the ability to obtain it
- Strong track record developing trusted, long-term client relationships
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with MicroStation is a plus
- Familiarity with PennDOT design standards preferred

- Experience leading project teams in transportation infrastructure
- Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and sound judgment
- Highly adaptable and proactive in managing projects and deliverables
- Excellent verbal and written communication; adept at motivating and mentoring others

Senior Transportation Project Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead mid-to-large-scale transportation projects from setup through closeout, including highway and bridge designs
- Manage project budgets, scope, schedules, and staffing to ensure successful and timely delivery
- Develop and execute design strategy in collaboration with teams, clients, and stakeholders
- Oversee project billing, client communication, QA/QC of deliverables, and contract administration
- Prepare proposals, serve as primary client contact, and support new business development
- Navigate complex public processes and municipal approvals while representing the firm within professional communities
