Senior Tax Accountant Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1120, and 1065.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and tax planning discussions.
- Manage tax deadlines and client expectations throughout the year.
- Review bookkeeping and financial records to ensure accuracy prior to tax preparation.
- Mentor and support junior staff members while contributing to a positive team culture.
- Assist clients with tax planning strategies and advisory services designed to support their financial goals.
Senior Tax Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification strongly preferred.
- 2+ years of recent public accounting or corporate tax experience.
- Experience preparing and reviewing business and individual tax returns.
- Proficiency with CCH, Workstream, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and client-service mindset.
