Patent Associate Attorney Responsibilities
- Draft and prosecute U.S. patent applications
- Analyze inventions and collaborate with inventors and clients
- Conduct patentability assessments and technical reviews
- Prepare responses to USPTO communications
- Manage patent matters independently while coordinating with attorneys across offices
- Deliver high-quality legal work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
Patent Associate Attorney Requirements & Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active Tennessee state bar license in good standing or ability to obtain admission as required
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required
- Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
- 3-6 years of patent law experience
- Significant patent drafting experience required
- Strong analytical, technical, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to work full-time in-office
