Operations Manager Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations across crews
- Manage manpower planning, scheduling, equipment, and logistics
- Coordinate with estimators, vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Drive accountability and performance across field leadership and crews
- Support hiring, coaching, and development of team members
- Improve communication between field operations and office leadership
- Manage operational challenges, scheduling changes, and change orders
- Implement systems, processes, and operational improvements
- Partner with ownership on strategic growth initiatives and business planning
Operations Manager Requirements
- Experience leading operations within civil construction, excavation, site development, utilities, or related construction industries
- Proven experience managing multiple crews, supervisors, foremen, and field personnel
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with scheduling, manpower planning, equipment management, and project coordination
- Ability to build trust and accountability with long-tenured employees and field teams
- Comfortable balancing office leadership responsibilities with field presence
- Experience improving operational processes and driving efficiency
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Spanish-speaking ability is a plus
