The Nashville office is seeking a Litigation Staff Attorney with experience handling tort litigation matters, preferably involving healthcare, medical malpractice, long-term care, or nursing home defense. This role offers substantial responsibility, direct client interaction, regular courtroom appearances, and the opportunity to work alongside experienced litigators in a collegial and supportive environment.
Litigation Staff Attorney Benefits & Compensation
- $150,000–$200,000 base salary, depending on experience
- Annual bonus opportunity
- 1,850 billable hour requirement

Litigation Staff Attorney Responsibilities
- Manage tort litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents
- Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances
- Assist with trial preparation and trial support
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and courts
- Develop litigation strategy and case evaluations
- Travel periodically throughout Tennessee for litigation-related matters
Litigation Staff Attorney Requirements
- Active Tennessee Bar license or ability to waive into Tennessee
- 4+ years of litigation experience
- Tort litigation experience required
- Experience in healthcare litigation, medical malpractice defense, long-term care defense, nursing home litigation, or related practice areas strongly preferred
- Experience conducting and defending depositions
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Courtroom experience and comfort handling hearings independently
- Trial experience is a plus
- Strong organizational and case management skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
