Executive Chef – Events & Banquets
A premier luxury event venue is seeking an Executive Chef to lead all banquet and event culinary operations. This role oversees menu development, culinary execution, financial performance, and team leadership for weddings, galas, corporate events, and other high-profile functions. The ideal candidate is a creative, hands-on leader with extensive experience managing large-scale luxury events while maintaining exceptional standards of quality, presentation, and service.

- Generous base salary ($175K-$190K, depending on experience)

Requirements & Qualifications
- 10+ years of culinary leadership experience in luxury hospitality and events
- 5+ years as an Executive Chef
- Proven experience leading high-volume ($10M+) banquet and catering operations
- Strong expertise in food cost control, budgeting, labor management, and team development
- Union experience in New York City
Preferred Background & Skills
- Luxury hotel, event venue, or upscale catering experience
- Expertise in weddings, galas, corporate events, and social functions
- Strong vendor relationships and purchasing experience
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead all culinary operations for banquets, weddings, and special events
- Develop innovative menus and oversee event execution from planning through service
- Manage culinary staffing, training, scheduling, and performance
- Ensure food quality, presentation, profitability, and compliance with health and safety standards
- Partner with Catering, Events, and Sales teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences and successful events
