We are partnering with a fast-growing, venture-backed advertising technology company that helps ecommerce brands improve the performance of their paid social catalog ads across major platforms.
This is a hybrid role combining design execution, customer onboarding, and account ownership. It is ideal for someone who is both a strong visual designer and highly comfortable working directly with clients.
This position sits at the intersection of creative, performance marketing, and customer success. You will manage a portfolio of e-commerce brands, helping them design high-performing catalog ads, launch campaigns successfully, and continuously optimize creative based on results.
This is not a pure design role, and it is not a pure account management role. Success requires strength in both areas.
Design Strategist Responsibilities:
- Design enriched catalog ad templates using internal creative tools
- Translate brand identity into scalable paid social creative
- Lead onboarding calls for new customers
- Guide clients to successful campaign launch within their first 30 days
- Conduct structured check-ins to review performance and recommend creative testing
- Monitor account health and proactively address risk before issues arise
You will be measured primarily on customer retention and successful activation.
Design Strategist Requirements
Required:
- 4+ years of professional design experience
- Experience designing paid social ads (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.)
- Portfolio that demonstrates performance-focused marketing creative
- Strong English communication skills and confidence on video calls
- Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts
Preferred:
- Experience in adtech, martech, ecommerce, or digital marketing agencies
- Familiarity with catalog ads, dynamic product ads, or feed-based advertising
- Exposure to performance metrics such as ROAS, CTR, CPA
- Experience in customer success, account management, or onboarding
What Makes Someone Successful in This Role
- Comfortable leading conversations, not just participating
- Proactive and ownership-driven
- Understands that great design must drive performance
- Able to balance brand aesthetics with measurable results
- Organized and self-directed
What This Role Is Not
- Not a pure graphic design position
- Not a behind-the-scenes creative-only role
- Not a passive support position
This is a highly visible, customer-facing position where your impact directly influences retention and growth.
