**General Manager – Restaurant & Bakery

We’re seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the opening and daily operations of our new neighborhood bakery and breakfast/lunch café. This is a unique opportunity to help shape a concept that combines seated dining, grab‑and‑go pastries, and crafted coffee drinks

This role is ideal for a leader looking for quality of life, stability, and the chance to build a strong, positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Oversee daily operations for a high volume breakfast and lunch business.

• Manage P&L

• Responsible for labor cost, scheduling, and inventory controls.

• Ensure consistent execution of both dine in and grab and go service standards.

• Partner with Chef, Baker, and management team to ensure smooth daily flow.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.

People Leadership & Culture

• Hire, onboard, develop, and retain a high-performing team.

• Train and coach staff in service leadership and hospitality.

• Build a positive, people-first culture that aligns with brand values.

• Act as the “mayor” of the restaurant—creating genuine guest connections, flawless guest experiences, and a welcoming environment.

Guest Experience

• Be a visible leader on the floor, ensuring exceptional hospitality.

• Resolve guest concerns with empathy and professionalism.

• Maintain a clean, inviting, and well-run café experience.

Qualifications

• Experience managing upscale, high-volume operations

• Strong financial acumen and proven P&L ownership.

• Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and retain teams.

• Excellent soft skills required.

• Experience with catering, to-go operations, and third-party delivery (DoorDash, Uber Eats, EzCater) is a plus.

• Ability to manage a high-energy environment and multitask across departments.

• New restaurant opening experience a plus

PTO: 10 days first year
