Sales Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience in fire protection sales management is required
- Prior experience leading or mentoring a team is required
- Experience leading other sales managers is required.
- A bachelor’s degree/Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and strong computer skills are required
- Understanding of sales pipelines, forecasting, and territory management
- Strong conflict resolution and negotiation abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to motivate, lead, and develop team members
Sales Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise all sales department staff, including recruiting, training, and performance management
- Set and track performance expectations, including KPIs like revenue and conversion rates
- Oversee department budgeting and participate in monthly and annual financial procedures
- Drive business development through contract negotiation, proposals, and relationship building
- Manage the full sales process from lead follow-up to securing new contracts and renewals
- Collaborate regularly with operations and finance teams to align strategies
- Execute sales and marketing initiatives such as cold calling and telemarketing
- Resolve escalated customer issues and ensure high standards through periodic field inspections
