Control Panel Manufacturing Supervisor – Dayton, OH
$75,000–$80,000 | Full-Time | On-Site | Leadership + Hands-On Role
We are seeking a Control Panel Manufacturing Supervisor to lead and actively participate in the assembly and wiring of industrial control panels for custom furnace systems. This is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Dayton, OH.
This position is ideal for an experienced panel builder ready to step into a team leadership role while remaining hands-on in the build process.
Position Overview
The Supervisor of Control Panel Manufacturing reports to the Engineering Manager and leads a team of 1–5 panel builders. This role combines technical panel-building expertise with leadership responsibility, ensuring quality, accuracy, and production efficiency from assembly through pre-start-up preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and train a team of 1–5 electrical panel builders
- Assemble electrical components and wiring layouts for industrial control panels
- Coordinate with Engineering to interpret and execute panel build drawings
- Identify wiring or schematic discrepancies and communicate corrections to Engineering
- Run and pull wire through conduit; bend and securely mount conduit
- Prepare panels for technician commissioning and assist with burner test-fire setup
- Maintain quality control standards and ensure adherence to production procedures
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required (technical degree preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in industrial control panel building or related electrical work
- Proven leadership experience or readiness to supervise a small team
- Strong working knowledge of:
- 240V/480V single- and three-phase systems
- AC and DC control circuits
- Electrical schematics and 2D blueprints
- Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
Preferred Experience
- Understanding of UL 508A standards
- Experience in custom industrial machinery or furnace systems
- Exposure to high-temperature or manufacturing environments
Work Environment
- Combination of office and factory/shop floor setting
- Frequent standing, bending, climbing, and lifting (up to 40 lbs.)
- Noise levels range from moderate to loud
- Occasional overtime and limited travel may be required
