Exciting opportunity to lead the kitchen of a brand-new, health-conscious, and sustainable dining concept in NYC! We’re looking for a culture-first Chef de Cuisine to oversee back-of-house operations, build a high-performing team, and bring our menu vision to life from day one.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead daily kitchen operations and uphold culinary standards in a new restaurant environment
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop your NYC kitchen team
- Ensure recipe adherence, portion control, and consistent execution
- Collaborate on sourcing sustainable, seasonal ingredients
- Maintain NYC DOH compliance, HACCP standards, NYC Food Handlers Certificate, and strict sanitation protocols
- Manage food and labor costs efficiently
- Establish a culture of “Detect, Fix, Prevent” and continuous improvement
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience as a Kitchen Manager, Chef de Cuisine, Executive Chef, or BOH leader in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Passion for sustainability and ingredient integrity
- Experience with SOPs, system implementation, and new restaurant openings
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- ServSafe certified and NYC Food Handlers Certificate

- Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 + performance-based bonus
