General Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry
- Proven restaurant management experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet during shifts
- Strong communication skills; English business proficiency required
General Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred; working knowledge of Spanish kitchen and food vocabulary is valued
- Experience with B2B marketing or third-party delivery platforms
General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead all store employees, including hiring, training, scheduling, feedback, and ongoing development
- Ensure exceptional customer service and positive guest engagement
- Oversee purchasing, inventory management, and daily food preparation for safety and consistency
- Analyze food and labor costs, and contribute to financial performance, reporting, and P&L reconciliation
- Manage staff schedules within labor budgets and maintain compliance with safety and sanitation protocols
- Direct POS operations and oversee third-party delivery services
- Participate in company-wide initiatives and various operational responsibilities
