We are seeking a hands-on, experienced 1st Shift Maintenance Tech Lead to oversee daily maintenance operations and ensure maximum equipment uptime in our manufacturing facility. This is a working leadership role requiring strong technical ability, initiative, and the ability to collaborate closely with Operations. 1st Shift Maintenance Tech Lead Responsibilities
- Open the shop daily and ensure equipment readiness for production
- Lead and prioritize first shift maintenance activities
- Coordinate with Operations Manager on workforce planning and scheduling
- Mentor and support maintenance team members
- Maintain clear documentation and communication across departments
- Program, set up, and operate laser cutting equipment
- Program and maintain robotic welding systems
- Maintain building systems, including HVAC, compressed air, lighting, and utilities
- Develop and improve PM systems
1st Shift Maintenance Tech Lead Qualifications
- 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience
- Hands-on experience with laser cutting (Amada preferred)
- Robotic welding programming experience (Yaskawa or similar)
- MIG and TIG welding experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience developing preventive maintenance systems
- ERP experience (EPICOR is a strong plus)
- Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Spanish language skills a plus
