General Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- 4+ years of management experience in an ultra high-volume, upscale dining or hospitality environment
- Proven ability to motivate, lead, and develop teams with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and cost controls
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Ability to lift and move items up to 25 lbs
- Ability to work until 3am most nights and have a flexible schedule
General Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Nightlife experience in an upscale restaurant or club
- Experience with contemporary cuisine or similar concepts
- Familiarity with POS systems (e.g., Toast) and restaurant technology platforms
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus
General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the front-of-house team to deliver memorable, personalized guest experiences
- Oversee staff training, performance, and scheduling to maintain high standards and efficient operations
- Manage labor, cost controls, and profitability to align with company goals
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations
- Actively monitor floor operations, resolve guest concerns, and build lasting relationships with regular guests
- Collaborate with culinary and management teams to introduce new offerings and optimize menus
- Oversee stock management, inventory control, and maintenance of restaurant assets
- Maintain accurate records and oversee daily operational reporting
- Foster a positive, inclusive workplace that supports ongoing learning and exceptional service
