Assistant General Manager – New Scratch Kitchen Concept | Orland Park, IL
We’re seeking a hands-on, floor-focused Assistant General Manager to join the leadership team of an exciting new full-service scratch kitchen opening in Orland Park. This is a high-visibility role for a proven operator who thrives in high-volume, made-from-scratch environments and can lead both people and operations to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with the General Manager to drive operational excellence, financial performance, and team culture
- Lead from the floor, setting the tone for service, quality, and consistency
- Manage day-to-day restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory
- Support a scratch kitchen environment, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team, including managers and front-of-house staff
- Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and operational standards
- Drive guest satisfaction and ensure a consistent, memorable dining experience
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years as an Assistant General Manager in a full-service, high-volume restaurant
- Demonstrated career stability and long-term tenure with previous employers
- Experience managing P&L and budgets, with strong financial acumen
- Knowledge of scratch-kitchen operations and quality-driven menus
- Strong leadership presence with a visible, hands-on approach on the floor
- Track record of developing managers and reducing turnover
- Passion for high standards in food, service, and operational execution
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary up to $80,000 per year
