Exciting Opportunity: Events Manager – New American Restaurant & Private Event Venue
Are you a hospitality leader with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences? We’re seeking an Events Manager to join the opening team of a dynamic New American restaurant, bar, and private event venue in Portland’s vibrant Pearl District. This is your chance to help shape the guest experience from day one in a chef-driven, beverage-forward environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the main onsite point of contact for clients during events.
- Execute small- and large-scale events with precision and polish.
- Lead and coordinate front-of-house staff, including servers, bartenders, and bussers.
- Oversee setup and ensure event spaces reflect floor plans and BEOs.
- Address client and guest needs promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service.
- Manage event billing, POS entry, and payment processing accurately.
- Foster a positive, collaborative team environment while enforcing high service standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in banquet management, catering, or event leadership.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and food safety regulations.
- Customer-focused with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Physically able to lift and move heavy items as needed.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
