Director of Recruiting – Hospitality (Remote with Travel)
Location: NYC (Remote-Based)
Salary: $140,000–$150,000 + Benefits (Health, 401(k))
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Recruiting to lead talent acquisition initiatives across a growing portfolio of hospitality concepts. This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing enterprise recruiting strategies, building scalable hiring processes, and partnering closely with executive and operational teams to drive organizational growth.
This is a remote-based role, ideally located in or near NYC, with travel required to support leadership alignment, market growth initiatives, and hiring strategies across multiple locations.
Only candidates with hospitality industry experience will be considered.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and oversee full-cycle recruitment efforts for management and hourly positions across multiple restaurant and hospitality concepts
- Develop and execute strategic talent acquisition initiatives aligned with company growth objectives
- Partner with executive and operational leadership teams to forecast hiring needs and workforce planning strategies
- Build, mentor, and develop recruiting teams while establishing best practices and performance standards
- Create and maintain strong talent pipelines for leadership and critical operational roles
- Travel to support new openings, hiring initiatives, leadership meetings, and recruiting events
- Enhance employer branding efforts and improve candidate attraction strategies
- Oversee recruiting systems, sourcing methodologies, and candidate experience initiatives
- Analyze and report on recruiting metrics, hiring trends, and workforce data to guide strategic decisions
- Drive process improvement initiatives to increase hiring efficiency and overall talent quality
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of progressive talent acquisition and recruiting experience required, with significant experience supporting multi-unit hospitality operations
- Prior leadership experience managing recruiting teams or enterprise-level talent strategies strongly preferred
- Agency backgrounds are not preferred
- Strong understanding of high-volume recruiting and executive/leadership hiring
- Demonstrated success building scalable recruiting infrastructures and talent pipelines
- Proven ability to work remotely while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders
- Willingness to travel as needed (estimated 20–40%)
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and relationship-building skills
- Experience with ATS platforms, recruiting technologies, and sourcing tools
