Our client is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Generalist to join their growing organization and support a nationwide workforce across multiple states. This role will play a key part in supporting payroll, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, employee support, and HR compliance functions for a frontline workforce. The ideal candidate will bring strong Paychex Flex experience, multi-state HR knowledge, and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic environment.
Human Resources Generalist Benefits & Compensation
- Base salary target of $75,000–$95,000

Human Resources Generalist Requirements & Qualifications
- 3+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Paychex Flex is highly preferred
- Experience processing and supporting multi-state payroll
- Multi-state HR compliance and administration experience
- Experience with benefits administration
- Knowledge of workers’ compensation and leave administration
- Recruiting and onboarding experience
- Experience supporting frontline or field-based employee populations preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required based on experience
Human Resources Generalist Must Haves
- Ability to step into a fast-moving HR environment with minimal ramp-up time
- Experience supporting payroll functions and HR operations simultaneously
- Comfortable supporting employees across multiple time zones
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to work closely with leadership and management teams
- Comfortable handling a broad variety of HR responsibilities
- Prior experience in manufacturing, construction, industrial, field service, or similar operational environments is a plus
- Experience working in growing or evolving organizations strongly preferred
- HRIS transition or implementation experience is a plus
Human Resources Generalist Preferred Background & Skills
- Paychex Flex power-user level experience
- Experience supporting organizations with 200+ employees
- Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth organizations
- Exposure to HR process improvement initiatives
- Startup or rapidly scaling company experience
- Ability to balance employee support with operational execution
- Strong problem-solving and ownership mentality
