Sales Manager

$75,000 – $110k Base Salary + Performance-Based Commission + Company Vehicle / Allowance

Position Overview
A growing construction labor services provider is seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Manager to lead business development efforts and support long-term revenue growth. This individual will play a key role in expanding market share, developing strategic client relationships, and contributing directly to company profitability.
This position is ideal for a “hunter” sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated by building new business, strengthening client partnerships, and delivering measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Southern California construction market
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company growth objectives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, project stakeholders, and decision-makers
- Conduct regular field visits to jobsites and client offices to generate and maintain business
- Expand client base in key growth regions, including San Diego and Riverside Counties
- Negotiate contracts, service agreements, and pricing while maintaining profitability targets
- Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and bid packages
- Track pipeline activity, sales metrics, and ROI to ensure performance targets are met
- Collaborate with operations and recruiting teams to ensure successful project execution
- Stay informed on labor market trends, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning
Estimating & Proposals
- Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate proposals
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary estimating inputs
- Analyze labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs to ensure competitive pricing
- Prepare and submit RFPs, ITBs, and bid packages within required timelines
- Evaluate project performance against estimates to improve future pricing accuracy
- Ensure all proposals align with operational capabilities and profitability goals

Qualifications
- 3–5 years of sales experience within construction, staffing, equipment rental, or labor services
- Proven ability to generate new business and consistently meet or exceed sales targets
- Strong understanding of construction processes, labor pricing, and project costs
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Experience preparing estimates and pricing proposals
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales tracking tools
- Ability to analyze performance metrics and generate reports
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and accountable
Additional Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and industry regulations
- Experience with contract management or procurement processes preferred
