A fast-paced, hospitality-driven restaurant group is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join its leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional who thrives in high-volume environments, values team development, and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
The Assistant General Manager will partner closely with the General Manager to oversee daily front-of-house operations, lead and mentor staff, maintain operational excellence, and help drive overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support all day-to-day restaurant operations in a high-volume, full-service environment
- Lead, coach, and develop front-of-house team members and supervisors
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences and handle service recovery when needed
- Maintain strong food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards
- Assist with scheduling, labor management, onboarding, and training
- Monitor inventory, vendor invoices, and operational systems
- Partner with leadership on team performance, culture, and operational improvements
- Support new hire interviews, onboarding, and staff development initiatives
- Assist with reservation platforms, third-party delivery systems, and guest feedback management
- Step in to lead operations in the absence of the General Manager
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ year of management experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Hospitality-first mindset with a passion for guest experience
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with scheduling, training, and team development
- Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays
