HR Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of HR Manager experience
- Supervisory or people management experience required
- Experience in a PEO environment strongly preferred; Insperity experience a plus
- Strong knowledge of Federal and State employment laws (wage & hour, FMLA, leave administration)
- Payroll administration experience required; PEO-based payroll experience preferred
- Hands-on experience managing timekeeping systems and HRIS platforms
- Proven expertise in full-cycle recruiting, both direct and through agencies
- Experience handling employee relations, investigations, and terminations
- Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Reliable onsite attendance required
HR Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred
- Experience supporting multi-state or multi-location operations
- Familiarity with AI tools for documentation and workflow support
- Experience using Predictive Index or similar talent assessment tools
HR Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee payroll processing and timekeeping administration through Insperity (PEO)
- Lead daily HR operations including employee relations, onboarding, and compliance
- Supervise and develop the HR & Office Administrator
- Manage recruiting efforts—direct sourcing, candidate outreach, and agency management
- Serve as primary onsite HR resource and first point of contact for employees
- Ensure efficient day-to-day office operations, including vendor and facility management
- Maintain HR records, update policies, and support annual performance reviews
- Partner with leadership on staffing, planning, and organizational needs
