Foreman – Public Works Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction (public works experience preferred)
- Strong background managing and supervising crews on underground utilities (sewer, water, storm drain), pump stations, and related civil projects
- Demonstrated experience ensuring jobsite safety and compliance with OSHA regulations
Foreman – Public Works Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience as an on-site company representative coordinating with owners, inspectors, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies
- Proven leadership in mentoring, training, and developing field staff
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly valued
Foreman – Public Works Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead field crews (up to 10 employees) on-site, ensuring daily operations run safely, efficiently, and according to plan
- Coordinate with project management, safety team, and field personnel to organize work activities and material logistics
- Ensure all work complies with drawings, technical specifications, and contract requirements
- Enforce company safety protocols and OSHA standards; conduct safety training, inspections, and documentation
- Provide clear task assignments, monitor work quality, and address performance issues professionally
- Communicate proactively with clients, engineers, inspectors, and other stakeholders as the company’s on-site representative
