General Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of full-service restaurant management experience at the General Manager or Assistant General Manager level
- Catering, events, or banquet experience strongly preferred
- Strong financial acumen with experience overseeing labor, cost of goods, budgeting, and forecasting
- Hands-on leadership style with a focus on operational excellence
- Exceptional guest service skills and ability to build lasting relationships
- Genuine passion for community engagement
General Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in small-town or resort destination markets
- Track record of building and developing high-performing teams
- Comfort with both day-to-day operations and special event execution
General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of daily restaurant operations, setting the standard for service and hospitality
- Hire, train, coach, and inspire both front- and back-of-house team members
- Manage staff scheduling, inventory, purchasing, and cost controls
- Oversee catering and event operations, collaborating closely with clients and internal teams
