Childcare Center Director Requirements & Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Business, or related field preferred
- Large Center Director qualification
- Minimum 7 years of leadership experience in a childcare, preschool, or early education setting
- Colorado Shines PDIS Level 3 credential/training, including the ability to assist in the infant room
- Strong understanding of Colorado state childcare licensing regulations
- Experience managing teams, staffing, and daily center operations
- Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- CPR/First Aid Certification required or the ability to obtain
- Must be able to pass all required background checks per Colorado state childcare licensing

- Drive enrollment growth and retention, partnering with leadership on center strategy
- Support budgeting, payroll, hiring, onboarding, and team performance
