Regional Foodservice Sales Manager Requirements & Qualifications:
- 6+ years of foodservice, CPG, or retail sales experience
- Proven success growing regional territories and increasing market share
- Experience working with distributors, brokers, and operator relationships
- Strong background in field execution, account development, and sales strategy
- Ability to travel 50% to 70% throughout the assigned territory
- Experience managing pricing execution, inventory flow, and promotional initiatives
- Track record of developing new business while maintaining and expanding existing accounts
- Strong CRM management and forecasting experience
- Comfortable presenting to distributors, operators, and key accounts
- Ability to conduct ride-alongs, field visits, and in-market sales execution
- Highly organized with strong follow-up and relationship management skills
- Strong negotiation, closing, and communication abilities
- Comfortable working in field environments including kitchens, warehouses, and distribution facilities
- Ability to lift and transport product samples up to 40 pounds
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Execute regional sales strategies and quarterly growth initiatives
- Conduct regular meetings and ride-along with distributors and broker partners
- Deliver product training, sales presentations, and category insights
- Monitor sales activity, forecasts, and territory performance metrics
- Maintain CRM updates, pipeline reporting, and customer communication
- Identify and develop new operator and distributor opportunities
- Support product launches, promotions, and pricing initiatives
- Communicate competitive intelligence and field insights to leadership
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
- Coordinate sample shipments and support sales/marketing initiatives
Regional Foodservice Sales Manager Preferred Background & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred
- Experience selling into foodservice distributors and retail channels
- Background with frozen foods, specialty foods, or value-added food products
- Experience using SAP, Power BI, Concur, or similar business systems
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a highly competitive and self-motivated approach
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing broker-led sales models
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization
- Passion for customer relationships and long-term account development
