Civil Infrastructure Project Manager

Civil Infrastructure Project Manager Benefits and Compensation:
• Base salary range: $100,000 to $135,000 depending on experience

Civil Infrastructure Project Manager Requirements & Qualifications:
• Experience managing public works construction projects
• Experience leading projects involving active operations, shutdowns, or phased construction sequencing
• Strong understanding of construction schedules, cost controls, forecasting, contracts, and change management
• Experience managing projects from turnover through closeout
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, municipal stakeholders, inspectors, and field teams
• Experience supporting pay applications, RFIs, submittals, procurement, and project documentation
• Strong ability to read plans and specifications and translate them into actionable field execution plans
• Experience maintaining documentation and compliance within structured public work environments
• Valid driver’s license
Must Haves:
• Public works construction project management experience
• Strong cost control and forecasting background
• Experience with rehabilitation, infrastructure, civil, or utility-related projects
• Comfortable working in live operating environments with tight work windows and sequencing constraints
• Strong communication and meeting leadership skills
• Ability to proactively identify and solve project issues before they impact schedule or budget
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Lead wastewater, sewer, pumping station, and civil utility construction projects from award through closeout
• Coordinate field execution plans around active facility operations and phased construction schedules
• Manage subcontractor performance, procurement timelines, and owner communication
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change order management
• Maintain schedule integrity while balancing shutdown windows and operational constraints
• Track project financials, forecasting, and budget performance
• Support public work compliance requirements including prevailing wage documentation and agency processes
• Build strong working relationships with municipal owners, engineers, inspectors, and utility stakeholders
Civil Infrastructure Project Manager Preferred Background & Skills:
• Experience with wastewater treatment plants, sewer treatment facilities, or pumping stations
• Background in underground utility work including yard piping, water, and sewer repairs/extensions
• Familiarity with Massachusetts Chapter 149 public works requirements
• Experience working with agencies such as MassDOT or DCAMM
• Experience supporting PFAS or chemical treatment-related construction scopes
• Proficiency with project management software, scheduling platforms, and document control systems
• Heavy civil or infrastructure construction background preferred
• Strong documentation and process-oriented project leadership style
