Computer Engineer Requirements & Qualifications
- US citizenship required
- BS or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Eligibility for US DOD Security Clearance
- 5–10 years relevant technical experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working collaboratively within a small, multi-disciplinary team
Computer Engineer Preferred Background & Skills
- Proficiency with Python, C++, C#, MATLAB, VHDL, and/or Verilog
- Experience with AI/ML techniques for signal recognition (including TensorFlow)
- Familiarity with digital signal processing, high-speed data, and large datasets
- Backgrounds in medical imaging, radar processing, or similar are highly valued
- Experience developing software/firmware solutions based on mathematical models
- Skilled in Agile/Scrum (JIRA), version control, automated testing, and formal documentation
- Knowledge of Linux O/S and network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP)
Computer Engineer Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and validate digital signal processing and AI/ML applications for advanced RF systems
- Implement high-speed data interfaces between FPGAs, devices, and networks
- Translate mathematical models from MATLAB or Python into robust software/firmware environments
- Collaborate closely with a small team of engineers and scientists on multiple defense technology programs
- Contribute ideas, set self-directed milestones, and communicate technical progress to stakeholders
- Follow engineering best practices for code control, testing, and documentation
