Cafe General Manager – Wellesley, Massachusetts

Cafe General Manager Benefits & Compensation
- Competitive base salary ($70,000–$80,000 annually)

Cafe General Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 4+ years of experience managing single-store unit operations in hospitality or consumer brands
- Proven ability to hire, develop, and lead teams
- Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, espresso, and related equipment
- Excellent decision-making and multitasking skills
- Strong interpersonal communication abilities
- Full-time availability (45 hours per week, 5 days, including weekend peak shifts)
Cafe General Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience working in a unionized environment is a plus
- Passion for coffee and customer service
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze trends and adapt
Cafe General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and motivate your team to deliver exceptional service and maintain high standards
- Oversee inventory management, vendor relations, and compliance with inventory systems
- Ensure product quality and consistency in every beverage served
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and presentation of the café
- Develop relationships with neighborhood businesses to grow local brand loyalty
- Collaborate with other managers to share best practices and foster a supportive culture
- Manage staff scheduling, review timecards, and ensure timely payroll
- Champion financial performance, drive sales growth, and actively engage with the community
