Clinical Research Coordinator Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of clinical research experience
- Registered Nurse licensure or bachelor’s degree in healthcare or a related field strongly preferred
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficient with clinical trial management systems and electronic data capture tools
- Solid understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA regulations, and IRB requirements
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Detail-oriented with flexibility in working hours to meet study demands
- Experience with EMR (EPIC a plus) as well as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- CCRC or CCRP certification preferred
Clinical Research Coordinator Preferred Background & Skills
- Fluency in Spanish
- Experience in cardiac research studies
Clinical Research Coordinator Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and evaluate cardiac clinical research trials, ensuring compliance with GCP/ICH guidelines and FDA regulations
- Serve as primary contact for sponsors and coordinate study start-up activities including IRB submissions and site visits
- Maintain thorough and accurate study documentation, regulatory files, and patient records
- Assess patient eligibility, conduct consent processes, and monitor patient enrollment and retention
- Record and report adverse events, assist with audits, and help resolve protocol deviations
- Support the preparation of research budgets and monetary disbursements
- Mentor and train junior research staff on protocol procedures and compliance
