“Marketing & Business Development Manager” Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 7+ years of marketing and/or business development experience
- Prior law firm or professional services experience strongly preferred
- Experience supporting high-level practice groups, partners, or executive leadership teams
- Strong experience with pitches, RFPs, client presentations, and proposal development
- Experience managing rankings, awards submissions, league tables, and directory submissions
- Advanced project management skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously
- Strong executive presence with polished communication and presentation skills
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent written communication skills
- Stable career progression with solid tenure in prior positions
- Comfortable working in a conservative, client-facing professional environment
- Ability to work in-office on a hybrid schedule in Nashville, Chicago, or DC markets
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Partner directly with practice leadership and the Managing Director on strategic growth initiatives
- Lead competitive intelligence research and synthesize actionable market insights
- Manage experience databases and oversee league table/ranking submissions
- Drive business development strategy and support targeted client growth opportunities
- Develop and oversee pitches, credentials decks, and client-facing materials
- Track pipeline activity, ROI metrics, and business development analytics
- Coordinate seminars, sponsorships, conferences, and client engagement events
- Execute thought leadership initiatives across social media, digital marketing, and web channels
- Manage attorney bios, practice group website content, and experience highlights
- Build and maintain targeted marketing lists and outreach campaigns
- Assist with KPI reporting, dashboards, and strategic analysis for leadership
- Supervise and mentor a Practice Coordinator

- Familiarity with CRM systems, sales pipeline tools, and experience management databases
- Experience working with attorneys, consultants, or senior-level stakeholders in matrix organizations

- Experience supporting corporate, transactional, or healthcare-related practice areas
- Knowledge of market research and competitive intelligence platforms
