A Luxury Resort is seeking an experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead daily kitchen operations while delivering exceptional food quality, consistency, and presentation. This role partners closely with the Executive Chef to support menu development, cost controls, and team development, ensuring an outstanding culinary experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and mentor culinary staff to maintain high performance standards
- Oversee food quality, sourcing, preparation, and presentation
- Develop and execute menus, recipes, and seasonal offerings
- Monitor food and labor costs, portion control, and inventory
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Maintain kitchen organization, equipment, and cleanliness
- Create schedules and manage payroll efficiently
- Lead pre-shift meetings and support special events and VIP functions
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and menu costing
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a leadership culinary role
- Strong kitchen management and organizational skills
- Passion for quality, training, and team development
- Knowledge of food safety and cost control practices
