The Payroll & Benefits HR Administrative Assistant supports payroll processing, benefits administration, and HR operations across multiple clients. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, discretion, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
We are seeking a proactive, dependable self-starter with payroll and benefits experience who is comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payrolls
- Review onboarding documents and maintain employee records
- Input employee data, deductions, garnishments, and retirement contributions
- Respond to payroll-related employee questions
- Process off-cycle payrolls, bonuses, and final paychecks
- Ensure payroll accuracy and wage/hour compliance
Benefits Administration
- Manage employee enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Support Open Enrollment and ACA administration
- Maintain benefit records and payroll deductions
- Assist with COBRA and 401(k) administration
- Reconcile benefit invoices and resolve discrepancies
HR & Administrative Support
- Prepare onboarding and HR documents
- Draft offer letters, warnings, and employment verifications
- Support employee relations documentation
- Assist with HRIS and payroll system administration
- Post jobs and support recruiting efforts
Qualifications
- Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Toast Payroll, Paylocity, or Gusto
- Knowledge of benefits administration and ACA compliance
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
- Hospitality or restaurant industry experience preferred
